Faux
Finishing, Marbleizing, Gold Leaf
Today, this form of art has become popular again due to the need to save our natural resources such as real marble and hardwoods. Faux finishes look wonderful on many surfaces.
Wood graining, which duplicates actual wood is another technique practiced by Echerer painting co. We can take a metal door, apply the wood graining process and make it look like the finest wood door available! Gold leaf: True gold leaf is far too expensive for amateur decorators, so we practice the art of gilding. A touch of gold to highlight relief carving or moulding can add considerable class. If you have a picture or can describe what you would like, we can duplicate it! Ask us about: ragging/ sponging/ spattering/ distressing/ pickling/ veining |
